“Whatever you do, don’t congratulate yourself too much, or berate yourself either. Your choices are half chance. So are everybody else’s.”

It took me a while to understand the power of this quote. I like this one because it emphasizes the importance of being humble but still optimistic. It reminds you to live the present, to enjoy taking chances and learning from them, no matter if they are good or bad choices and at the same time to respect other’s choices and never judge them, because they can be just as wrong as you can be. It made me think about the people around me. I sometimes treat people bad or make skank looks without reason. Then I look at all this people and realize that they have their own troubles and the last thing I should do is add to them. It’s a lot of pressure growing up and no matter what anyone says, none of us teenagers have it easy. The point is to know and remind yourself everyday that you are no superior to anybody and that no one is superior to you. Still you have to push your boundaries and try to be yourself without comparing to anybody else. Even if at this age is hard to realize that individuality is a good thing, and trying to be accepted by everyone is hard, probably choosing to say what you really mean or wearing something you think looks well on you is the best choice, because when you’ll look back you won’t regret it, being yourself no matter what. Arrogant people are always the weakest. So in order not to be arrogant one has to be confident. If you want people to think you are amazing you have to believe you are, and then they will too. The thing in this quote is to find that balance between pride and insecurities, to learn living life for the moment and realizing you have the same chances as everyone else, but still you are unique. You just need to take those chances and make the best of them; and if they haven’t arrived yet, you have to learn to be patient. Believing in yourself is the best advice and to be in love with your life every minute of it. It is a process and so it is for everybody else.
